Intern - Catalyst Coated Membrane (CCM) Process Development (m/f/d)
Date: Jul 30, 2026
Location: Stuttgart-Untertürkheim, BW, DE, 70372
Company: cellcentric GmbH & Co. KG
Everyone's talking about sustainable energy - we're getting it on track.
We are a company with probably the most experienced employees in our technology field in the world. As a joint venture of Daimler Truck AG and the Volvo Group AB, we are responsible for all activities along the entire value chain for fuel cell systems: from research and development to production and marketing for use in trucks and other applications outside vehicles. The goal is to establish cellcentric as a leading global manufacturer of fuel cells, contributing to climate-neutral and sustainable transportation.
Process development plays a very important role in achieving our goal: competitive series production can only be established through innovative processes. The "Process Development Catalyst Coated Membrane (CCM)" team is responsible for the development of the entire manufacturing processes for the in-house production of the CCM. This work includes the fabrication of electrodes used in Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFCs). During this internship, a novel measurement method will be developed and applied to characterize the CCM manufacturing process for PEM fuel cells, while the resulting data will be analyzed to gain insights into process–structure–property relationships.
