The team R&D and PD MEFA is responsible for the end to end process of the Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA/MEFA): material specifications, component geometry, manufacturing process development, and validation of experimental principle components.

Responsibilities:
• Support the adaptation and development of characterization methods, incl. measurement routines on coordinate measuring machines and leakage test fixture design.
• Perform measurements and characterizations on experimental MEFA principle components, such as:
o Mechanical testing (tensile tests)
o Materialographic preparation & microscopy Imaging techniques
o Leakage testing
o Thickness measurements
o Sample preparation for SEM analysis
o Chemical analysis (FTIR, Photo DSC etc.)
• Prepare, structure and analyze measurement data and contribute to presentations and technical reports.
• Collaborate closely with process development and simulation to embed your results into material and process models.
Required Skills/Experience:
• Ongoing studies in engineering or natural sciences (materials science, mechanical engineering, physics, chemistry, etc.).
• Confident handling of MS Office.
• Preferably first experience in materials testing, microscopy, or laboratory analytics.
• Independent, structured, and analytical working style.
• Good German and English skills.

Additional information:
Proof of current enrollment in a degree program with outstanding exams is required.
The position is available on a part-time (minimum 15 hours per week) or full-time basis for six months.
