In our team “R&D and PD MEFA,” we are responsible for the Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEFA) component within the so-called end-to-end process. This process includes defining the material and property specifications as well as the geometry of the component. In addition, we develop the associated manufacturing processes. Finally, the components are validated and approved using appropriate test methods.

Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for the development and maturation of the cutting process to ensure the defined geometry and quality of the components during the roll-to-part cutting process.
  • You are accountable for various cutting technologies based on laser technologies and mechanical methods, which are to be developed to a high level of maturity on an automated high-volume production line.
  • You analyze the components for compliance with drawing specifications and coordinate deviations as well as design-for-manufacturing requirements with the development lead. 
  • You coordinate this part of the production process with suppliers and work closely with other departments within the division as well as with other processes within the team.

Experience and Qualification:

  • You have successfully completed a degree in Process Development, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field. 
    Ideally, you have several years of experience in process development of laser- and mechanical cutting processes and are familiar with the basic functionality of a fuel cell. 
  • You have the ability to quickly understand and work on complex technical challenges.
