Intern / Working Student (m/f/d) in Strategic Procurement

As a joint venture of Daimler Truck AG and the Volvo Group AB, we are responsible for all activities along the entire value chain for fuel cell systems: from research and development to production and marketing for use in trucks and other applications outside vehicles. The goal is to establish cellcentric as a leading global manufacturer of fuel cells, contributing to climate-neutral and sustainable transportation.

You will support our dedicated "Supply Chain Management" team, which is responsible for purchasing fuel cell components and hydrogen tank systems. As part of your job, you will gain insights into the diverse procurement processes and the assurance of supplier quality. You will work operationally in a team and gain experience in cross-functional cooperation with development, cost planning, quality assurance, logistics, controlling and the production plant. Through your involvement in our team, you will be directly involved in the product development process and have the opportunity to actively shape the market launch of this innovative technology.

Responsibilities:

• You support us in the execution of price inquiries, offer comparisons and cooperation in the implementation of orders
• You will be involved in the preparation, execution and evaluation of supplier meetings
• You are responsible for evaluations and analyses of suppliers, negotiations and offers
• You will be responsible for the preparation of presentations in a commercially and technically demanding environment of fuel cell technology
• You support the strategic purchasing department in various national and international sourcing projects
• You will work on the measurement of and compliance with purchasing-relevant key performance indicators

Experience and Qualification:

• You are currently completing a business or technical degree (Uni, FH, DH)
• You have very good knowledge in MS-Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• You have a good command of German and English, both written and spoken
• You are willing to work in a team with a varied range of tasks
• You are characterized by a high level of commitment, initiative, communication skills and the ability to work in a team
• Your profile is rounded off by a creative and structured way of working

Additional information:
 

Proof of current enrollment in a degree program with outstanding exams is required. 

The position will only be filled full-time for approximately 6 months.
