Head of Supplier Quality (m/f/d)

We are looking for you as “Head of Supplier Quality (m/f/d)” at the earliest possible date. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for the management and development of the supplier quality team;
  • You will become the linchpin of complex technology projects by taking over operational project management with regard to quality at the supplier interface;
  • You will use your skills to technically evaluate and develop suppliers - your goal is to empower suppliers technologically and methodically in the short and long term, working closely with representatives from the specialist areas of development, logistics, production and contracting as well as technology management/development;
  • You systematically set up internal and external stakeholder management and coordinate its operational implementation;
  • You provide methods, tools and processes for structured technical collaboration with suppliers and agree these with external partners within cross-functional teams;
  • You work holistically with suppliers to identify potential for improvement in their value creation process and to determine and implement measures for optimization;
  • You track the development measures at suppliers and initiate corrective measures at suppliers; you create the basis for this in the team through a systematic analysis of the capabilities of external partners with regard to organization, development and production, which you compare with the internal strategic requirements;
  • Safeguarding series production and ensuring new start-ups is just as much a part of your job as safeguarding the respective maturity levels at the supplier from a technical perspective.

 

Experience and Qualification:

  • You have a degree in engineering (e.g. mechanical engineering, industrial engineering) or have a comparable qualification;
  • You have at least 3-5 years of professional and management experience in the automotive industry (OEM or Tier 1, 2 or 3);
  • In addition, you have experience in project management of complex technology projects in collaboration with internal and external cross-functional teams and in supplier development;
  • You have experience in at least 2 of the following areas Creation, analysis and in particular optimization of complex value streams / sustainable implementation of store floor management or lean management / development, procurement, release of special machines / experience in supply chain management / experience in quality planning;
  • Your strong communication skills and assertiveness, coupled with a solution-oriented way of working, enable you to successfully navigate complex project and conflict situations;
  • The ability to work in a team and deal with conflict are further strengths that you bring to the table;
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to analyze complex quality problems, present them clearly and develop and implement effective solutions are among your strengths;

  • Fluency in German and English and a strong willingness to travel round off your profile.
