Working student (m/f/d) in the field of fuel cell assembly / testing

Founded on a profound and long-standing know how in fuel cell technology, cellcentric, a 50:50 joint venture between Daimler Truck AG and the Volvo Group, is responsible for all activities along the entire value chain for fuel cell systems: from research and development through production to marketing of fuel cells to areas of application even outside vehicles. The ambition is to make cellcentric a leading global manufacturer of fuel cells, and thus help the world take a major step towards climate-neutral and sustainable transportation by 2050.

 

For this purpose, the Low Volume Production team is responsible for the production of fuel cell prototype units. In the assembly line, the entire unit is built up step by step from purchased and in-house manufactured parts and inline tests are carried out:

 

Responsibilities: 

  • You carry out individual demarcated projects to optimize plants and processes;
  • You prepare the process documentation for an external audit. This includes, among other things, the recording of the actual state, the process visualization and the comparison of conformity to ISO 9001;
  • You support the operations engineer in introducing new processes;
  • You prepare information from production for the shop floor meeting;
  • You support the implementation of measures after the shop floor;
  • You support line CIP (e.g. support in testing pilot applications).

 

Experience and Qualification:

  • You are studying in the Department of Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics or in a comparable degree program;
  • Ideally, you already have initial experience in production;
  • You are willing to work on a daily basis at different locations (Esslingen/Pliensauvorstadt & Kirchheim/Teck-Nabern);
  • You are confident in using MS Office;
  • Your strengths include independent way of working, ability to work in a team, flexibility and commitment;

Proof of current enrollment in a degree program with outstanding exams is required. 

 

The position will only be filled part-time for approximately 6 months.
