Strategic buyer (m/f/d) for components of the fuel cell system

As we continue to build the company, we also consequently grow our purchasing team & search for a buyer, available as soon as possible. The team is part of Procurement and Aftersales at cellcentric GmbH & Co. KG.
The Procurement team at cellcentric is currently responsible for a AVOB of several hundreds of millions €, ensuring the availability of all relevant products, materials & equipment.. The department serves allcellcentric's production plants, through partnership and collaboration with around 1,000 suppliers both domestically and abroad. We are innovative and diverse resulting in a broad responsibility ranging from project related purchasing, series production support for all fuel cell components, associated capital goods and servicesup to supplier risk and capacity management. The team represents procurement in all project and decision-making boards. In addition, we work with various and also international cooperating partners.

Responsibilities:
• In this position, you are responsible for procurement of complex components of the fuel cell system in the the product sample phase including the serial scope of delivery as well as the associated tools and services for our European locations.
• You carry the responsibility for operational and strategic buildup, development, and management of the supplier portfolio for this commodity.
• You conduct analyses of international markets, and develop strategies how to access those of relevance .
• You are responsible for handling the tendering process, including negotiations, awarding contracts, and monitoring a range of suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and good quality and service.
• You plan, prepare and conduct price and contractual negotiations, as well as associated quantity contracts and orders and managing supplier assessments.
• You develop long-term collaboration with trustworthy suppliers.
• You work on interdisciplinary projects and project teams, and serve as the interface between consumers and suppliers.
• You help developing and implementing more efficient purchasing processes, and negotiation strategies to generate maximum efficiency and the best possible business success for the company.
Experience and Qualification:
• Completed degree program in industrial engineering, business administration, or a comparable training, ideally with supplementary commercial qualifications
• Relevant professional and several years of experience as a strategic buyer, ideally specialized in the automotive sector
• Skilled negotiator and communicator, with contract expertise
• Confident approach to supplier relationships and broad knowledge of the purchasing market and special considerations for technical goods
• Technical understanding as well as project management experience and a good knowledge in MS Office and SAP will be beneficial
• Very good written and spoken German and English fluency
• Well-developed teamwork and communication skills, as well as strong negotiating skills, persuasive and confident attitude
• Independent, punctual working ethics and a corporate thinking and cost-awareness
