Master's Thesis "Development of a real-time capable fuel cell system model"

The Fuel Cell System Engineering team is responsible for the layout of the fuel cell system. Modeling the components and simulating the system characteristics is fundamental to defining the system concept.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • You create a concept for deriving a real-time capable system model from a complex physical model;
  • You compare and evaluate different methods of model order reduction;
  • You develop a process with the associated scripts for model simplification;
  • You demonstrate the real-time capability of your model and evaluate the model quality;
  • Finally, you will summarize your results and the methods, processes and physical-mathematical relationships used in a final thesis.

 

Experience and Qualification: 

  • You are studying an engineering degree program;
  • Ideally, you have basic knowledge of fuel cells and fuel cell systems;
  • You have had first contact with hardware-in-the-loop or system simulation;
  • Basic knowledge of the system simulation tools MATLB/Simulink or GT-Suite is an advantage, as well as programming experience in Python;
  • Your strengths include a complex understanding of systems and a keen interest in machine learning.

Proof of current enrollment in a degree program with outstanding exams is required. 

 

The position will only be filled full-time for approximately 6 months.
