Customer Quality Engineer (m/f/d) for Fuel Cell Systems

The "Customer Quality Engineer (m/f/d)" is part of the "Subproject Lead R&D & Technical Key Account Management" team. We lead the sub-project R&D of a new fuel cell generation from the concept phase to series launch. We steer and coordinate the development processes and content and are the technical interface to the project lead, the other project functions and our external customers. With the "Customer Quality Engineer (m/f/d)", we are expanding our internal and external interface and steering function by including quality topics. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • You will be the contact person for customers in quality issues and communicate quality topics with the voice of the customer to all relevant functions of our product projects;
  • You will be responsible for quality planning that is aligned with our customers and the tracking of the implementation in accordance with APQP / VDA-RGA and, if necessary, other customer quality requirements within the framework of the current product projects;
  • You align project content and project milestones regarding quality with our customers;
  • You align customer quality requirements internally with the relevant stakeholder;
  • You track the internal and external implementation of project and customer quality requirements and initiate appropriate measures or escalate to an appropriate level if necessary;
  • You will be responsible to monitor the customer portals, to handle customer complaints according to customer requirements and to ensure the methodical processing of errors (e.g. 8D method, ...);
  • You will coordinate and manage corrective actions and create and distribute reports on customer complaints internally and externally;
  • You will prepare the reporting to the customers and, if necessary, to the project management and present it accordingly;
  • You will be responsible for the preparation and organization of customer visits and audits and, if necessary, execute them.

 

Experience and Qualification: 

  • You have a technical degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or comparable courses of study;
  • The basis for your work is in-depth knowledge of the relevant quality tools and standards, such as IATF 16949, DIN EN ISO 9001, VDA 2, VDA 4, VDA 6 series, including the Automotive Coe Tools and problem-solving methods, such as 5-Why, Ishikawa, 8D, ...  (you may be qualified in parallel to your operational activity);
  • You have at least five years of experience in quality management in automotive projects and know the challenges of the industry, ideally in a comparable position;
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills, both in 1-on-1 situations and in group situations;
  • You enjoy working in a team, have a high level of self-motivation, work independently and in a structured manner and have a high level of assertiveness;
  • You are characterized by a strong customer orientation and entrepreneurial spirit;
  • You are fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
