Student (m/f/d) - Catalyst Coated Membrane (CCM) Ink Development

Process development plays a crucial role in achieving this goal. Only through innovative processes competitive series production can be established. The "Process Development Catalyst Coated Membrane (PD CCM)" team is responsible for the development of the entire manufacturing processes for the in-house production of the CCM. This includes the manufacturing of the catalyst layer from its basic components. The aim is to generate understanding of the raw materials and between the different components during processing. This will help to optimize the process and finally improve the performance and durability of the Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC). 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • You build up an understanding of raw material properties and manufacturing processes and their influence on product properties;
  • You will develop a standard procedure for determining surface energy;
  • You support the evaluation of development data;
  • You will carry out independent tests.

 

Experience and Qualification: 

  • You are currently enrolled in a STEM study (chemistry, chemical engineering, material science & engineering, (addlied) physics or a comparabel course of study);
  • Ideally, you would already posses some knowledge about PEMFC;
  • You have experience in chemistry lab;
  • You posses good analytical data skills;
  • You have very good MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and are business fluent in German and English;
  • You are characterized by an independent, responsible, structured and creative way of working.

Proof of current enrollment in a degree program with outstanding exams is required. 

 

The position will only be filled full-time for approximately 6 months.
